LSU Health New Orleans' Learning Center brought a human patient simulator, and the children were able to hear heart and lung sounds and interact with "him." The youngsters found the plasticized organs, provided and explained by Diversity and Community Engagement, fascinating.

Nursing faculty and students brought anatomical models with removable organs and an infant patient simulator. They also demonstrated and helped the youngsters suture and incise and drain infected "wounds."
